Olay’s bestselling Super Serum is having a super moment worth celebrating.
On the heels of the serum’s introduction as a moisturizing cream last month, the low pH-activated, color-changing formula is now a body wash.
Housed in pink, holographic packaging in feminine, citrus scents, the body wash – available for extra dry skin to rough and bumpy skin – is formulated with a Serum Complex inclusive of five ingredients for skin as luminous and smooth as a disco ball.
In celebration of the product drop, Olay invited content creators to Xanadu Roller Arts in Brooklyn for a retro-glam skate party. More than just luminous skin, the event also afforded guests – a number of them first-time skaters – to let go of their inhibitions and roll into newfound confidence.
As an adder layer to emphasize body confidence, the Procter and Gamble-owned brand teamed up with premier styling service Wantable to enforce women’s confidence in clothes encouraging them to embrace style for all body shapes and sizes.
The event was aptly timed for Women’s History Month.
“Both of our brands are dedicated to women’s needs and providing products that deliver unmatched confidence,” said a senior brand manager with Olay at the March 4 fiesta.
Olay officials say the new Olay Super Serum Body Wash challenges the notion that body wash goes down the drain. Rather, the innovative formula is formulated to sink into skin with advanced ingredients including niacinamide, vitamins E & C, betahydroxy acid (BHA) and collagen peptide to brighten, smooth, firm, hydrate and even.
The formula has a unique layering structure of cleansers and serum ingredients. Once water is introduced, it activates the formula by creating lather and allowing the serum ingredients to adhere to skin. Then, the low-pH serum complex, combined with pro-glycerin, penetrates the skin’s surface layers.
Olay’s partnership with Wantable was rooted in research that as high as 7 out of 10 women avoid fashion choices that expose their skin concerns, officials said.
Wantable’s Power Edit collection was designed for to help women roll out of their comfort zones showcasing their luminous skin with bold fashion selections. Paralleling Olay’s passion for transformational skincare, the trained fashion experts at Wantable have a passion for enhancing women’s comfort levels with apparel tailored to their unique needs.
The Power Edit included some of the moment’s hottest trends from floral to denim and other “lady boss” attire like fitted vests.
